Domain Life Cycle
Every domain name has a life cycle. It is possible to extend a domains’ life forever by renewing it but if you forget it eventually goes into Pending Delete status. Some think that Pending Delete status is the end of the domain name life cycle. For me it is only the beginning….
If you fail to renew your domain names this will happen:
AUTO RENEW GRACE PERIOD Generally you have 45 days to renew your domain name at most registrars without a penalty. However, the name server information is deleted or modified so that the domain name no longer points to the website it is associated with.
REDEMPTIONPERIODThis is the 35 day’s of last chances to renew your domain name. Once a domain name enters the redemption period you can still renew your domain name but the cost will be significantly higher.
PENDING DELETE These names are scheduled for deletion from the database and you are no longer able to renew those names. Pending Delete lasts for 5 days. Then the domains will “drop”. This is where I come in
